About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of store cleanliness and presentation, ensuring a positive shopping environment for customers and a safe space for staff. The Environment Team Member will perform various cleaning duties, assist with customer service, and support operational tasks. Key responsibilities include ensuring the store's overall look and feel are maintained to brand standards, delivering friendly customer service, and handling operational tasks such as trash disposal, floor cleaning, and deep cleaning of specific store areas. The role also involves maintaining cleaning equipment, managing cleaning supplies, and adhering to all relevant guidelines and procedures. Team members are expected to uphold positive interactions and project a professional image.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
  • Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.

  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
  • Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers.
  • Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and return products to correct placement.
  • Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
  • Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
  • Deep clean key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways.
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
  • Provide a fast and friendly check out experience and execute cash handling.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
  • Execute Company policies and standards.
