About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Superintendent to join the EHS leadership team, located in Wichita, KS. This leader will lead, develop and integrate our EHS strategy. This leader will play a critical role shaping our safety culture, supporting site growth, and driving initiatives to ensure a safe and sustainable workplace. The role will foster and embed Boeing’s values — Safety and Quality, People Focus, Trust, Ownership, and Innovation — to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience implementing or managing an environmental, health and safety management system
  • 5+ years influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions
  • 5+ years leading or managing a team in a multi-skill discipline
  • Able to travel up to 5%
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Build and integrate strong relationships with site leadership to ensure EHS strategies are embedded in daily operations and long-term business planning
  • Develop, implement, and sustain high-impact programs for injury and serious incident prevention, ergonomic risk reduction, and environmental excellence.
  • Implement sustainable corrective actions using innovative and cross‑functional approaches
  • Drive compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and Boeing requirements ensuring robust management system and proactive oversight
  • Partner with Leadership and key stakeholder on site expansion activities to embed EHS requirements into design and oversight for safe construction and operational planning
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to EHS managers and staff to build capability and a high‑performing team culture
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive key EHS initiatives and integrated action plans; apply lean practices to optimize organization and processes
  • Develop organizational plans, policies, procedures and align business/technical strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Use data analytics and problem‑solving to drive decisions; establish metrics, schedules, and follow-through to meet deliverables
  • Continue to support the integration phase of this acquisition
