About The Position

Perform general cleaning of the Perioperative Care Unit. With occasional transport of patients.

Requirements

• Adheres to policies and procedures designed to avoid, prevent and reduce the spread of communicable diseases.
• 6 months experience in the Perioperative Care Unit as an EVS tech or direct patient care
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Maintains hospital standards of participating in mandatory in-services and mandatory Hospital/ Departmental requirements.
• Demonstrates ability to use a keyboard as may be required to perform the essential duties of the job.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily cleaning of rooms, including washing stretchers for surgical patients.
• Cleans general work spaces on the Unit.
• Cleans isolation Rooms between patients.
• Stocks patient rooms.
• Cleans equipment and documents daily.
• Daily terminal cleaning of patient bays and patient care areas.
• Changes curtains as scheduled and as needed
• Transports patients
• Distribute oxygen tanks in department
