About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of overall store appearance, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver on our Brand Promises. The position involves providing friendly customer service, assisting customers with their shopping needs, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff. Key duties include collecting and disposing of trash, cleaning floors, moving equipment and products, and preparing cleaning solutions. The role also requires deep cleaning of specific store areas like bathrooms and breakrooms, maintaining cleaning equipment, and proactively identifying areas that need attention. Additionally, the position supports various store operations such as checkout, customer engagement for rewards programs, omnichannel processes, truck unloading, stocking, planogram execution, and adherence to safety and shrink programs. The role emphasizes maintaining positive interactions, projecting a positive image, and adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
Ability to move throughout the store.
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
Deep clean key areas of the store, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high traffic areas.
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
Provide a fast and friendly check-out experience and execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance.
Execute Company policies and standards.
