The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses general or specific knowledge in soil science, hydrogeology, geology, engineering practices, and principles relating to the design and construction of wastewater systems and water supplies, demonstrates excellent communication and technical writing skills, is comfortable communicating with consultants, landowners or their representatives, municipal officials, other DEC staff, and our counterparts from other states, and performs well at the individual level, as well as in a team-based environment.
