About The Position

This position assists the Environmental Services team in maintaining a high-quality standard of housekeeping service by performing daily cleaning and restocking of patient rooms, nursing stations, restrooms, offices, and other assigned areas in accordance with the established procedures of the department and Helen Keller Hospital. Aides are expected to display a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude toward our customers at all times.

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form.
• Must be willing to work in a team-structured environment.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work/manage a fast-paced, stressful work environment.
• Must be able to attend work regularly and promptly.

Nice To Haves

• HS/GED preferred.
• Previous experience in health care or public lodging facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures effective department operations by maintaining good attendance.
• Starts day correctly in accordance with department policy and procedure.
• Performs adequate share of workload as determined by EVS leadership.
• Meets the organization's housekeeping needs as indicated by the average monthly overall room score target.
• Ends day correctly in accordance with department policy and procedure.
