About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping finish goods, materials, products, and supplies in a manufacturing environment. This position ensures accurate inventory records, timely movement of materials, and compliance with company safety and quality standards including SQF, GMP, and HACCP.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with Shipping and Receiving in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in the food industry and knowledge of GMP’s preferred.
Experience with ERP Software preferred.
Experience in Microsoft office (words, excel, outlook)

Responsibilities

Greets and check in Delivery drivers.
Schedule and receive incoming shipments, and verify contents against purchase orders, packing list, or invoices.
Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues as needed.
Unload, sort, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
Coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehouse personnel to ensure material availability.
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems and/or ERP systems.
Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, company procedures, and safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
Track and process shipping and receiving paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Communicate effectively with our 3rd party locations and distribution center to ensure timely movement and tracking of products and materials.
Perform other duties as assigned by Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
