About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping finish goods, materials, products, and supplies in a manufacturing environment. This position ensures accurate inventory records, timely movement of materials, and compliance with company safety and quality standards including SQF, GMP, and HACCP.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Shipping and Receiving in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in the food industry and knowledge of GMP’s preferred.
  • Experience with ERP Software preferred.
  • Experience in Microsoft office (words, excel, outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Greets and check in Delivery drivers.
  • Schedule and receive incoming shipments, and verify contents against purchase orders, packing list, or invoices.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues as needed.
  • Unload, sort, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehouse personnel to ensure material availability.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems and/or ERP systems.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, company procedures, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Track and process shipping and receiving paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with our 3rd party locations and distribution center to ensure timely movement and tracking of products and materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
