Entry Truck Technician / Mechanic - Tuesday - Saturday Days
About The Position
Pape’ Kenworth is seeking an Entry Truck Technician to join their team in Santa Maria, CA. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals eager to start a career in the diesel and heavy truck industry. The technician will perform basic repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing issues. The position offers comprehensive dealer-supported education and training, working alongside experienced technicians to develop practical skills in maintenance, inspection, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The work schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of automotive or diesel trucks
- One or more years of experience working on vehicles
- Alternatively, applicants with a Diesel Tech Degree will be considered in lieu of experience

Responsibilities
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair truck issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Support customers and maximize their uptime
- Develop skills and experience as a Technician through hands-on experience
- Gain practical skills in maintenance, inspection, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and related equipment
