About The Position

The ENTRY PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) helps with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and answering any questions or concerns with care and compassion. The individual will also help maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable. This individual will also utilize Phlebotomy skills to grow within the company. The ENTRY PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect to patients regarding the scheduled procedure for the patients in a safe and accurate manner. The ENTRY PSR I will demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. The impact of this individual will be crucial to maintaining the integrity of the lobby and ensuring that all patients are provided with the level of service that is expected.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED - no exceptions)
  • Phlebotomy experience is required, even if just an intern/externship to learn the basics
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service REQUIRED (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc.)
  • Some Phlebotomy experience is REQUIRED
  • Keyboard/data entry experience a must
  • Ability to handle patients with care and compassion
  • HIGH LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE/SKILLS ARE REQUIRED

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients upon arrival and answer questions or concerns with care and compassion.
  • Maintain the integrity of the waiting area.
  • Assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable.
  • Utilize Phlebotomy skills to grow within the company.
  • Explain to patients what to expect regarding their scheduled procedure in a safe and accurate manner.
  • Demonstrate excellence in customer care, focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
  • Assist with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
  • Work in both the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help cover breaks.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
  • Fill in for breaks and cover for staffing shortages.
