Entry Operator - G Shift
About The Position
The Entry Operator position is responsible for performing various duties related to the packing and palletizing of products. This role requires proficiency in all packer palletizer duties and the ability to assist in training new team members. The operator will rotate into different positions and lines as needed, perform equipment inspections and sanitation, and complete quality checks. A working knowledge of JDE and Docushare is necessary, along with the ability to make minor machine changeovers and communicate effectively with the on-coming shift. Maintaining 6S compliance and wearing required PPE are also essential aspects of this role. The company is a smoke-free and tobacco-free workplace.
Requirements
- Must be able to complete all Essential Functions listed in the Packer/Palletizer Position Description
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload and to meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task is essential
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A working knowledge of cGMP regulations and guidelines
- Knowledge of manufacturing lines and processes
- Good understanding of JDE to verify that transactions are performed correctly and assist with JDE corrections/cleanup
- Must be in good standing-no recent attendance warnings

Responsibilities
- Must be proficient in all packer palletizer duties
- Assist in training new team members; to include Packers/Palletizers and new Entry Operators
- Rotate into positions/lines as needed due to absences, breaks, etc.
- Complete start of shift inspection/sanitation of equipment
- Perform and/or participate in preventative maintenance of equipment
- Complete quality checks as needed
- Maintain good run adjustments i.e., print registration, label adjustments, substrate dimensions and folds
- Complete minor machine changeovers (film, label, paper, and box sizes)
- Complete and/or participate in major changeovers
- Communicate information to on-coming shift
- Must be able to maintain 6S compliance
- Required to wear PPE (including hair net, beard net, and any other as required for job)
- Clean any area of the facility as assigned or needed to maintain cgmp
- All other tasks assigned by supervisor
