About The Position

The Entry Operator uses machinery to move the product further down the line and often coordinates with teammates to ensure accurate and timely production. Axis Pipe and Tube LLC is committed to helping partners in the oil and gas industry achieve superior results by supplying premium-quality oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and line pipe products, along with the necessary service. Located in Bryan, Texas, their leading-edge manufacturing facility can produce over 300,000 tons of electric resistance welded (ERW) OCTG and Line Pipe annually, utilizing the latest technology and manufacturing techniques to ensure maximum return on investment and adherence to the highest safety standards. The company is also dedicated to providing a safe, healthy workplace for all employees and serves partners requiring a wide range of specifications, supplying products according to international standards such as API 5L, API 5CT, ASTM.

Requirements

One-year certificate from college or technical school OR Three to six months related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Knowledge of use and care of common hand tools.

Responsibilities

Accurately and efficiently, stage pipe for threading and tooling processing; schedule loads in order to produce maximum load capabilities.
Must set and adjust variables following established practice, and operate as necessary to comply with established procedures.
Continuous mental and visual attention in loading, operating, running tests and checks, maintaining records and other duties involving constant alertness.
Understand and utilize the controls & instruments on the threading equipment to process materials properly.
Perform routine maintenance on all work equipment. Maintains clean work area.
Operating an overhead crane and forklift as needed to load and unload pipe.
Must perform duties in a high heat / high humidity environment.
