About The Position

As an Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer or Scientist , you’ll be exposed to a wide range of field and office responsibilities that will build a strong foundation for your career in environmental and water resources work. Your field work may include: Erosion prevention and sediment control (EPSC) inspections Transportation construction inspections Stormwater sampling Environmental compliance inspections Stream monitoring Stormwater infrastructure mapping Your office responsibilities may include: Preparing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) Preparing water quality permit applications Writing technical reports Developing documentation related to stormwater management and municipal stormwater compliance This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about fieldwork, comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Environmental Science, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 1–4 years of experience in a water resources–related field
  • Interest and/or experience in stormwater inspections, construction inspections, water quality permitting, stormwater management, or permit compliance
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new technical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfort with outdoor work, including walking on uneven or slick terrain and working in inclement weather

Nice To Haves

  • TDEC Level 1 Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Experience with ArcGIS
  • OSHA 10‑Hour training (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
