The Longmont, Colorado office is seeking an Entry-Level (Staff) Civil Engineer with an interest in hydraulics and hydrology (H&H) and water resources engineering. We are looking for motivated candidates with strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a desire to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to a variety of dam and water resources projects in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 0-2 years of relevant professional experience in water resources, hydraulics, hydrology, dams, or related engineering work.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and hydrologic principles and engineering analysis methods.
  • Strong interest or background in water rights/water resources engineering, hydraulics/hydrology, or agricultural engineering
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong work ethic and a desire for continual self-improvement
  • Willingness to perform a variety of tasks including office and field work
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license as driving is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

  • Prior internship or professional work in a related field

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses and engineering calculations for water resources and dam engineering projects.
  • Develop computer models, engineering reports, drawings, and technical documentation under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Participate in field investigations, inspections, and data collection activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to support project delivery.
  • Assist with proposal preparation, technical research, and other project-related activities.
  • Continue developing technical expertise through training, mentorship, and hands-on project experience.
