About The Position

This production role supports packaging and paper manufacturing operations. The employee follows standard operating procedures to verify orders before production, maintain product quality, complete waste tickets and computer entries accurately, and check bags against customer specifications. The role also includes learning the duties and responsibilities of a Helper position.

The employee is responsible for safe work practices, wearing directed personal protective equipment, maintaining cleanliness of the machine and work area, completing cleaning checklists, and cleaning and returning previously used equipment and parts to their proper locations. The position requires lifting and installing or removing roll shafts weighing 50 pounds or more. The schedule involves rotating shifts of 8 or 12 hours Monday through Friday, with weekends required.

Requirements

• Manufacturing experience.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willingness to work rotating 8- and 12-hour shifts Monday through Friday and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform the essential functions of the job and other duties as assigned.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and work safely.
• Install and remove roll shafts weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Follow standard operating procedures and verify orders before running them.
• Maintain quality and accurately complete waste tickets and computer entries.
• Follow housekeeping checklists and keep the machine and machine center clean to required standards.
• Clean previously used equipment and parts and return them to their proper locations.
• Check bags to ensure they meet customer specifications.
• Learn the duties and responsibilities of the Helper position.
• Check orders for the correct paper.
• Complete the cleaning checklist during weekly cleanup.
• Keep the machine and work area clean at all times.
