Entry Level Printing Press Helper
About The Position
This is an entry-level position where the Printing Press Helper will be responsible for various tasks to support the printing press operations. Key duties include counting and stacking finished products, reading factory orders, accurately reading gauges and test equipment, and utilizing basic shop math for inspections. The role also involves completing quality and administrative documents, following directions, and performing clean-up functions such as blowing down machines, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming, sweeping, and managing scrap. The position requires adherence to all safety rules and procedures, including lockout/tagout and the use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- Must have a safe and stable work history, good attendance record, positive attitude and a desire to produce quality work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs
- Must be able to read a standard tape measure and read and understand job specification cards.
- Must follow all safety rules and procedures; watch out for crew member’s safety at all times; always follow lock out and tag out procedures; always use personal protective equipment (steel toed shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, Kevlar gloves, etc).
- Demonstrated ability to add and subtract all units of measurement, read and copy figures and count and record figures
- Counting and stacking finished product
- Reading factory orders
- Basic computer skills.
- Candidates must be willing to work weekends and overtime as required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus
