About The Position

The Entry Level Phlebotomist reports to the Plasma Center Manager and performs plasma donor screening and phlebotomy to support plasma center operations. The role involves welcoming and assisting donors, collecting and recording screening information, and maintaining accurate records. A commitment to customer service, quality, and donor and team safety is expected. This is a part-time position, generally involving shifts of 4 to 6 hours per day on three or more days per week; shift availability and scheduling are confirmed early in the interview process, and schedule changes are communicated in advance.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above the shoulders and below the knees.
Ability to lift up to 5 pounds, occasionally lift materials up to 32 pounds, and rarely lift up to 50 pounds.
Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
Ability to wear gloves for prolonged periods, as 90% of work tasks involve potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience in a customer- or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

Answer phones and greet and assist donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
Screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger-stick results.
Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company-approved procedures.
Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
