About The Position

We have the following positions available to start your career with GM as early as January 2027: Controls Engineer, Facilities Management Rep, Facilities Engineer, Electrical Diagnostician. Our Controls Engineers are responsible for smooth functioning of all manufacturing equipment and manufacturing support systems in the plant. This work requires the ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair activities of plant equipment as well as manage and execute plant launches and projects. Our Facilities Management Reps are responsible for working with an industry leading team that designs, builds/constructs, and maintains facilities. Doing so in a safe, compliant, cost-efficient manner that utilizes advanced technology to support social and ecological sustainability. Our Facilities Engineers are responsible for engineering high quality, sustainable systems and processes that sustain future business productivity in multiple types of business units. Our Electrical Diagnosticians are responsible for supporting the plant in achieving electrical first-time quality and leading electrical troubleshooting efforts for the plant. Requirements

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Control System Engineering, Controls Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Must be graduating between December 2026 and June 2027
  • Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Must be willing to work in a plant environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship experience in manufacturing, automotive or technology
  • PLC Programming experience
  • Working knowledge of process equipment operations, sequence, error proofing and diagnostic capabilities
  • Demonstrated leadership in field of study, extracurricular activities or service organizations
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed
  • Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, take initiative/self-directed
