About The Position

Charter Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on, motivated individual to join their team as an Entry Level Maintenance Technician. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills, work alongside experienced professionals, and grow within a stable, team-oriented environment. The position involves learning to inspect and maintain equipment essential for facility operations, performing machine start-up and shutdown procedures, operating forklifts, using basic hand tools, and adhering to safety protocols. Depending on the specific role, responsibilities may include cleaning foundry production equipment, assisting with production needs, or performing preventive maintenance tasks and assisting with repairs and installations under the guidance of experienced mechanics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• A willingness to learn and basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read instructions and use basic math
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year of prior manufacturing, maintenance, or mechanical experience

Responsibilities

• Learn how to inspect and maintain equipment that keeps our facility running smoothly
• Clean foundry production equipment
• Perform machine start up and shutdown procedures as needed
• Operate forklifts and use basic hand tools
• Follow safety procedures to help maintain a safe and efficient workplace
• Assist with production as needed
• Assist experienced mechanics with repairs and installations
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) tasks
