About The Position
The Gund Company has an immediate opening for an Entry-Level Machine Operator (Composites) to join our team! This role implements the Production Fulfillment Process steps related to the manufacture of thermoset composite materials by operating manufacturing equipment that includes thermal presses. Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. Sets up and operates one or more composites production lines under limited supervision to manufacture products of moderate complexity.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a manufacturing industry with mixing, batching or compounding equipment.
- Production and processing knowledge of raw materials and product processing, quality control.
- Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Trouble Shooting
Responsibilities
- Form molded sheets of materials using thermal press machines.
- Manufacture molded glass polyester sheets by laying up material to the desired thickness and spreading resin according to customer orders per instructions on customer work orders.
- Use Scale, Weighing, and Mixing procedures to add resin & filler to prep resin for molding process.
