About The Position
Bouwa Whee Catering, a division of the Det’on Cho Hospitality Group and 100% owned by the Yellowknives Dene First Nation, is seeking an entry-level candidate for their Gahcho Kue Mine site. They provide top-tier, professional camp catering services to Canada’s northern mines and promote a positive work-place culture focused on growth, teamwork, and inclusivity. The entry-level positions, which can include Janitors, Housekeepers, or Kitchen Helpers, report to the Head Housekeeper or the Chef. These are full-time positions on a 2x2 rotation, and night shifts may be required. The company offers medical benefits and RSP matching.
Requirements
- current WHMIS
- familiar with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- ability to work both independently as well as within a team
- ability to work with and follow checklists
- proven punctuality and pleasant demeanor
- ability to work 12 hour shifts
- understanding of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals and equipment and the safety precautions necessary while using these products and equipment
