About The Position

AECOM is hiring an Entry-Level Field Geologist to support its Environmental Business Line and military munitions response geophysics work. The position is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, or Franklin/Nashville, Tennessee, and supports primarily federal munitions response projects at field locations across the United States, Hawaii, Guam, and other international locations. The role is expected to begin as soon as possible and involves 95–100% fieldwork at project sites, extensive travel, and work in challenging outdoor environments. Under the supervision of a Project Geophysicist or senior-level team member, the geologist will learn and apply field data-acquisition practices using advanced near-surface geophysical classification systems to identify subsurface munitions-related anomalies. The position also involves collecting, compiling, and organizing geophysical and environmental data; preparing basic scientific documents; and supporting field-program planning and coordination. The role offers opportunities to develop leadership and management skills within AECOM’s munitions response program.
