Entry Level Equipment Operator- 2nd shift
About The Position
AHT has been a leader in the industry for over 40 years, specializing in processes like ion nitriding, gas nitriding, carbonitriding, and induction hardening. Their work strengthens parts for various critical sectors including aerospace, defense, firearms, automotive, construction, agriculture, energy, and medical. As an Entry Level Equipment Operator, you will join a team that processes essential parts, learning about metals, the effects of heat treatment processes, and the importance of quality. The company provides comprehensive training to help employees become experts in this vital, specialized industry. This is a regular, full-time 2nd shift position located at one of AHT's facilities in Waterloo, IA.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years equipment operation experience and/or two year industrial tech degree
- Ability to operate fork truck and overhead crane
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Equipment operating/industrial experience preferred
- Willingness to be hired as Heat Treat Support and trained into Heat Treat Equipment Operator if the above requirements are not met
Responsibilities
- Provide setup, parts processing, and inspection for processes
- Provide backup support to technicians using process instructions, work orders and prints
- Degrease, clean and unload customer parts
- Perform routine shop duties
