About The Position

IVIRMA North America's network of state-of-the-art fertility practices in the United States, is currently seeking an Entry-Level Embryologist to join our growing Basking Ridge, New Jersey practice! This is a full-time position Monday-Friday with rotating weekends. This position will be responsible for executing IVF laboratory techniques according to established policies as well as adhering to IVI RMA’s quality assurance/control operating procedures. Job candidates must exhibit an exceptional aptitude for attention to detail, lab record maintenance, and quality control documentation, and entry level embryology techniques.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook - required
  • Some knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory policies and procedures related to the lab and the ability to understand and interpret pertinent policies and procedures clearly and accurately are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and communications skills, including ability to communicate accurately and concisely with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to multitask
  • Aptitude to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment while remaining persistent in overcoming obstacles
  • Must be able to work weekends and some holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in one of the sciences – preferred
  • 1 year work experience in similar position- preferred
  • Electronic Healthcare Records (EMR) experience – preferred

Responsibilities

  • Follow procedures for reporting and maintaining patient records
  • Responsible for documenting quality control data
  • Understand lab operating manuals and quality assurance/control program requirements
  • Learn guidelines for performing laboratory services
  • Understand OSHA requirements for safe laboratory operation
  • Participate in laboratory operations, procedures, and projects as directed.
  • Follow stringent chain of custody policies
  • Culture dish preparation and related lab duties
  • Responsible for ordering/receiving lab supplies and maintaining inventories
  • Adhere to quality control policies and document all quality control activities
  • Perform entry level embryology procedures.
  • Communicate with clinical staff, as appropriate
  • Attend laboratory meetings as requested
  • Preparation and storage of patient documents
  • Review clinical charts for accuracy
