ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking an entry-level Design Technician I to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the design of overhead and underground electrical utility projects, gaining hands-on experience in the field of electrical engineering. This role is 75% remote, however, occasional travel for fielding project needs in Northern and Central Wisconsin is required. Requirements

  • Entry-level experience (0-3 years) in a design engineering role.
  • Familiarity with electrical distribution systems and concepts is a plus.
  • Proficiency in drafting/design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow in a technical environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools is a plus.
  • Motivated, proactive, and eager to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with electrical distribution systems and concepts is a plus
  • Associate's degree in technical related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems for overhead and underground utility projects, including creating detailed construction drawings and accurate bills of materials.
  • Provide supporting documentation such as pole force loading calculations, voltage drop calculations, and permitting requirements as needed.
  • Support pre-construction activities, answering questions related to the job site and design.
