Entry-Level Device Repair Technician

GophermodsNew Brighton, MN

About The Position

At Gophermods, we believe every student deserves access to the technology they need to learn and grow. Founded in 2010 in Minneapolis, MN, we've built a nationwide reach by supporting schools and small to medium-sized businesses through every stage of the technology lifecycle, including device repair, refurbishment, sales, accessories, and professional services. We're a small company with a big mission, guided by three core values: setting the standard, being curious, and thriving together. Our team is innovative, fast-paced, and collaborative. We are always looking for new and better ways to tackle challenges. If you're looking for meaningful work that makes a real impact, we'd love to have you on the team. As an Entry-Level Device Repair Technician, you'll spend most of your day at the bench diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing devices across Apple (MacBook and iPad), Chromebooks, Windows laptops, Microsoft Surface devices, and desktops. Our team works together to provide high-quality repair services for a wide range of devices for high-volume clients, so you'll need to be someone who can maintain a steady, reliable pace without sacrificing the quality of your work. Every repair follows a standard operating procedure. Every device gets a full QA check. Every workspace is kept clean and organized. We're looking for a steady, coachable technician who likes structured work, follows steps exactly, keeps parts organized, and prioritizes quality over speed, someone comfortable doing repairs most of the day with minimal supervision. Technical experience is welcome but not required. If you're a beginner IT technician or IT career starter looking for paid training, this entry-level IT role is for you. We're open to candidates from high-quality, process-based, detail-heavy backgrounds such as assembly, refurbishment/repair, quality inspection, warehouse kitting, food prep with standards, automotive basics, or electronics/PC building hobbyists. If you've used SOPs or checklists before or can explain a personal system that functions like one, you may be a great fit.
