About The Position

This opportunity is designed for candidates who are early in their automotive careers. Previous professional technician experience is not required. We're looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for working with cars. As an Entry-Level Automotive Technician, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside an experienced automotive service team.

Requirements

  • Current automotive technology student or recent graduate
  • Basic automotive knowledge and mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to learn and develop your technical skills
  • Dependable, motivated, and team-oriented
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles and automotive equipment
  • High school diploma or the equivalent and one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to listen to customers and determine how to assist them
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and repair processes for light mechanical services
  • Outstanding attention to detail with a commitment to quality
  • Ability to use technical reference materials and technical manuals in written and online formats
  • Ability to communicate technical terms to non-technical audience
  • Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and two year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASE Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performing oil changes and routine maintenance
  • Completing tire rotations and basic tire services
  • Inspecting vehicles and identifying maintenance needs
  • Assisting with basic repairs and services
  • Learning proper diagnostic and repair procedures
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Following CarShop safety and quality standards
