About The Position

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories (MDL), a member of Genesis Global Group, is a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory with multiple state licenses. It specializes in automated DNA-based molecular analysis, including PCR testing, with a broad infectious disease testing menu. MDL is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Entry Level Account Manager to join its expanding sales force. The role maintains a large base of existing customers, grows revenue through client engagement, and acts as a liaison between management and customers to resolve issues.

Requirements

1–3 years of successful customer service experience.
Strong multitasking, organizational, and detail-orientation skills.
Energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, email, and internet functions.
Ability to travel within the coverage area and occasionally nationwide.
Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls; sit, stand, and walk; and drive a motor vehicle.
Frequent travel by motor vehicle is required, and the role may involve exposure to various workplace environments when meeting customers.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of laboratory testing and competing products.
Medical Assistant certification or an associate degree; a BA/BS is preferred.

Responsibilities

Grow revenue from existing clients by presenting new test information, upselling, and identifying new revenue sources.
Establish positive, long-term client relationships.
Educate and train clients, research problems, and coordinate solutions between the laboratory and clients.
Work with the Senior Sales Executive and Regional Manager to identify client concerns and develop and implement client-retention strategies.
Monitor, evaluate, and report client satisfaction, and recommend corrective action as needed.
Maintain knowledge of competitors and their presence in the assigned territory.
