About The Position

Terrarium is a digital health venture studio backed by Company Ventures, an early stage venture firm with a 10 year history building and operating NYC’s premier venture community and founder residency, Grand Central Tech. Company Ventures currently manages ~$150mm in AUM across its early stage Fund I (2018), Fund II (2022), and growth investment vehicles. Notable healthcare investments include: Maven, Centivo, Season, Particle, Stepful, Eden Health, Nomad, Octave, Elaborate, Hero, Nara, Reverence Care, Oova, and more. Terrarium incubates high conviction, transformational healthcare companies. We accelerate the startup journey for the best early stage founders with world class investment research, pre-seed capital, and enterprise partnerships. We are a talent obsessed studio and this position is central to Terrarium's overall strategy. As an EIR at Terrarium you will partner with our team to validate a high conviction thesis, pressure test GTM and unit economics, build the early product path, and recruit the first teammates. You will use our research stack, customer network, and capital pathway to turn insight into a venture-backable company.

Requirements

  • Founder energy and bias to action, with a record of building or owning zero-to-one work
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems or health tech and ability to navigate clinical, regulatory, and data realities
  • Commercial mindset and comfort building in market with customers
  • Clear writing skills, ability to make decisions with incomplete data, and enjoyment of fast feedback loops
  • Enjoyment of recruiting exceptional people and setting a high performance bar
  • 6 to 12+ years in startups, product, engineering, operations, or new business building
  • Evidence of shipped product, launched services, or scaled programs that drove revenue or outcomes
  • Strength in one or more of: product management, full-stack or data engineering, B2B SaaS GTM, healthcare operations, analytics, or marketplace design
  • Customer research fluency and a metrics mindset
  • Integrity, resilience, and a collaborative style

Responsibilities

  • Lead a zero-to-one company creation process from problem discovery to a backable plan
  • Run rapid experiments that validate customer pain, willingness to pay, and repeatable acquisition
  • Translate insights into a clear product spec and near-term roadmap, then ship an MVP
  • Build the early operating model including pricing, GTM motion, and success metrics
  • Engage Terrarium’s provider and payer partners to secure pilots and letters of intent
  • Recruit and evaluate cofounders and founding hires through Terrarium’s cofounder matching network
  • Prepare for investment committee with crisp narrative, milestones, and capital plan
