About The Position

As an Entomologist at JLL, you'll play a vital role in protecting the health, safety, and sustainability of the built environments we manage for our clients worldwide. You'll apply your scientific expertise to develop and implement integrated pest management strategies that safeguard facilities while minimizing environmental impact. Working collaboratively with facility management teams, you'll conduct thorough inspections, identify pest species and their behavior patterns, and design tailored solutions that address the root causes of infestations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in entomology, biology, zoology, or related field
  • Strong observational and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in scientific methodology and experimental design.
  • Knowledge of insect taxonomy and identification techniques.
  • Data analysis and statistical software competency.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and patience.

Nice To Haves

  • Laboratory and field research experience.
  • Familiarity of GxP/GMP in a pharmaceutical or food environment.
  • Knowledge of microscopy and specimen preparation.
  • Familiarity with GIS and mapping software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee contract performance of pest control suppliers, ensuring alignment with client quality requirements, performance standards, and GxP compliance across multiple manufacturing building environments
  • Manage a team of 1-5 staff while coordinating supplier onsite activities, conducting ad-hoc inspections, and verifying service quality levels and SOP compliance
  • Represent JLL in vendor business review meetings with supplier leadership teams to align on performance expectations, strategic objectives, and audit readiness
  • Conduct field and laboratory research on insect behavior, physiology, ecology, and genetics to inform strategic pest management solutions
  • Collect, identify, and classify insect specimens while monitoring populations, tracking migration patterns, and studying life cycles and development
  • Develop and implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies that leverage biological control methods and coordinate collaboration among soft service and landscaping providers
  • Manage and review all GxP documentation to ensure compliance with client SOPs, actively supporting superior outcomes from internal and external audits
  • Respond to and document non-conformances using root-cause analysis techniques, developing action plans to resolve vendor performance discrepancies
  • Collect and analyze data using statistical methods, compile performance trends, and present findings to key stakeholders and quality management teams
  • Train and educate pest control technicians, field staff, contractors, and site personnel on insect-related issues, prevention measures, and compliance requirements
