About The Position
We are one of the leading tech-driven media and entertainment companies, producing uplifting content in 17 languages for people of all ages. Known for award-winning art and pop culture magazine boredpanda.com and TOP DIY channel Crafty Panda, we fight the world's boredom at an unprecedented speed: 160 million site views per month and 62 billion video views per year. Our team consists of around 350 creative individuals from 36 countries, with 2 offices in Vilnius, Lithuania. We’re looking for an Entertainment Writer to create engaging, trend-driven content inspired by pop culture, viral stories, and internet trends, while collaborating with our editorial team to deliver high-performing entertainment content.
Requirements
- Excellent written English and strong storytelling skills
- Proven passion for entertainment, pop culture, and digital content
- Ability to write engaging content that resonates with online audiences
- Strong research and fact-checking skills
- Attention to detail and solid editing skills
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adjust tone, style, and format depending on the content
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of digital content performance and audience engagement is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of SEO, headline optimization, or content analytics is an advantage
- Previous experience in content writing, journalism, blogging, or similar roles is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Write engaging, high-quality entertainment articles based on trending topics, viral stories, and internet culture
- Create compelling, click-worthy headlines that drive user engagement
- Conduct thorough research, fact-checking, and interviews when needed to ensure accuracy and depth
- Adapt writing style and tone to different topics, formats, and audiences
- Identify relevant story ideas by monitoring trends across social media and online platforms
- Ensure originality, clarity, and consistency across all content
- Collaborate with editors and team members to improve content quality and performance
