About The Position

This role supports the technical aspects of live events and performances within the park. The technician will be responsible for operating various technical equipment, ensuring shows run smoothly and on time, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Requirements

Minimum Age: 18
Knowledge of technical theater, including theater safety, audio and lighting systems, special effects, maintenance and repair.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand for the length of shift.
Must be able to work with ladders, scaffolding or lifts.
Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must be professional, self-motivated, have the ability to multi-task, and possess an enthusiastic attitude.
Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

Operate a light board, audio console, and special effects equipment for shows and special events.
Perform all shows on time and as designed by Full Time Management.
Execute cues as set by the Production Staff and Full Time Management.
Provide basic troubleshooting and maintenance for sound system, special effects equipment, lighting system, and lighting fixtures.
Participate in rehearsals and operation of productions under the direction of Production Staff.
Navigate in, on, or around scenic elements in potentially dark and restrictive spaces.
Climb ladders and work at heights in excess of 35 feet.
Lift more than 50 pounds.
Maintain a clean and safe atmosphere in all areas of a venue, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning up trash, restrooms, and storage/shop areas.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely, utilizing appropriate Personal Protection Equipment.
Manage and maintain the House before and after shows, assist guests with questions, and clean the house for the next performance.
Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedures.
Wear and maintain park-issued uniform.
Immediately report any unsafe acts to the unit Stage Manager.
Train new personnel as needed.
