About The Position

Audition for one or more of the following roles: Entertainer, Costume Character Entertainer, Costume Character Dancer Entertainer, Costume Character/Puppeteer Entertainer, Costume Character/Actor Vocalist. All positions require ambassadors to perform in character costumes. You must be able to perform in extreme temperatures, including winter weather. You must be able to stand for long periods of time. These roles require athletic and cardio endurance, physical story-telling abilities, and strong performance energy. Candidates must have at least one weekend day available and must have two additional days available starting in August. Candidates must also be available for weeknight rehearsals starting in August. Requirements

Must be at least 15 years of age.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift.
Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to-waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing).
Willingness to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat and cold temperatures (both in and out of costume).
Provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreement.
Must be available weeknights in Fall & winter for rehearsals.
Prepare a resume and headshot.
Be able to perform in character costumes.
Be able to perform in extreme temperatures, including winter weather.
Be able to stand for long periods of time.

Actors - Great stage presence and interactive comedic skills that excel at improvisation.
Costumed Characters - Personable, animated people with fun, outgoing personalities.
Dancers - Demonstrate technical proficiency in a variety of styles including jazz, musical theatre, ballet, and modern.
Instrumentalists - Proficient in percussion, brass, woodwinds or guitar.
Scare Squad - Enthusiastic performers, who are passionate about Halloween.
Vocalists - Great energy and stage presence who can demonstrate technical proficiency in a variety of styles including pop, rock, musical theatre, classical, contemporary, and a cappella vocal styling.
Capacity to hear/sing harmonies is a must.
Please wear form fitting dance attire that allows a full range of movement and tennis or jazz shoes.
Please do not wear jeans.

Nice To Haves

Partnering skills, break dancing, tumbling, tap, or other specialties are a plus (dancers).
Sight reading skills are not required but are preferred (vocalists).

Act as a character escort to assist with guest interactions (as a costumed character).
Perform in multiple high-energy shows per day (actors, dancers, vocalists).
Connect with guests and create memories that last a lifetime.
Bring special and seasonal events to life (event performers).
Play varying styles of music and memorize music for shows (instrumentalists).
Add fun and scary excitement to events (Scare Squad).
Hear/sing harmonies (vocalists).
Learn a dance combination and participate in improve and athletic stamina exercises (audition).
Demonstrate movement, non-verbal communication, and physical coordination (costumed character auditions).
Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.
Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations.
Successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements within established timelines.
