About The Position

Under direct guidance from the IT Engineering Supervisor, this position is a member of the Enterprise Engineering support team and is responsible for implementing, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting the enterprise systems, applications, and infrastructure. This includes enterprise compute, storage, backup, virtualization, datacenter, SQL, application deployment, application security, printer management, patch management, Windows Server and Desktop, mobile devices, and virtual desktops. This role serves as a resource for IT Engineers with escalated issues.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in an IT Engineering, Analyst or Technician.
  • CompTia Systems+, VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA), Citrix Certified Associate (CCA), Microsoft Azure Certified Fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Certified Fundamentals or other relevant Engineer Certification.
  • Ability perform in high paced environment, updating and improving documentation as improvements and changes are made.
  • Team oriented, participating in collaboration on leading best business practices. Organized and can prioritize work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to use logical thinking to solve practical problems and interpret instructions for complex oral or written processes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and responds to request and incident tickets assigned to team and provides prompt updates to keep requestor informed, working to resolve all issues in a timely manner.
  • Creates and maintains Systems, Application and Endpoint documentation and updates documentation to reflect change.
  • Proactively identifies performance and operational issues using trending activities and reports.
  • Participates in the logging, documenting, and communication of problems and resolutions.
  • Assists in and implements Cyber Security Efforts as identified by Information Security.
  • Maintains awareness of reporting metrics on activities and completions to leadership though dashboards or other key written updates.
  • Assists in maintaining architecture plans and upgrade strategies.
  • Participates in assigned projects and maintains up to date documentation.
  • Participates in the recovery from a disaster or a major network or system outage.
  • Participates in capacity planning, auditing and documentation.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating all Systems Infrastructure, Application Infrastructure and Endpoint devices.
  • Serves as escalation point for Application Analysts and Solutions Techs.
  • Follows change management procedures and requirements provided by the organization.
  • Participates in On-Call rotation and responds in a timely manner as defined by management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
