About The Position

The Department's OIT is seeking the services of an experienced Systems Administrator under the working title of Enterprise Systems Administrator. The Enterprise Systems Administrator shall serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the Department. This position is designated as "essential staff" and is expected to report for duty when instructed to do so in times of emergency or potential emergency as required by Rule 33-208.002 (4), Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). Any successful Candidate with access to the Department's network is required to complete the Department's Security Awareness Training within 30 calendar days of hire. The selected Candidate must successfully complete a Level II Background Check.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience is required. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when applicable.
• A minimum of five (5) years of Windows server administration experience with three (3) years administering Windows 2016 and newer.
• A minimum of three (3) years of Microsoft Azure and Cloud experience.
• A minimum of one (1) years of AWS experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years administering Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), and Group Policy in environments with over 1,000 users.
• Experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts.
• Experience working in virtual server and Cloud environments.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting third-party applications.
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory management activities.
• Develop and maintain processes that optimize Microsoft Azure resources.
• Analyze Azure resource performance to identify resource contention and recommend changes or upgrades as needed to ensure optimization.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation.
• Work with data center staff, OIT, and users to perform resource deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Administer and configure Azure and AWS infrastructure security as needed for OIT staff and users.
• Assist Azure and AWS application owners, administrators, and users with appropriate application access.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows server issues with minimal impact on users.
• Write PowerShell scripts to be used to monitor server properties and perform Active Directory and Azure management activities.
• Research and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements.
• Provide recommendations for possible process improvements within the Department's infrastructure team.
• Perform additional Systems Administrator tasks as required by the Department.
