About The Position

ZipStaff is seeking an experienced Enterprise Systems Administrator to serve as a subject matter expert supporting enterprise identity, Windows, and cloud infrastructure for a state public-safety organization in Tallahassee, FL. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory, Azure resource optimization, Windows Server administration, and supporting Azure and AWS security and access. The position is designated essential staff and may require reporting during emergencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience (relevant experience may substitute for education year-for-year).
  • 5+ years of Windows Server administration, including 3+ years administering Windows Server 2016 or newer.
  • 3+ years of Microsoft Azure/cloud experience.
  • 1+ year of AWS experience.
  • 5+ years administering Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy in environments with 1,000+ users.
  • Experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts.
  • Experience working in virtual server and cloud environments.
  • Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting third-party applications.
  • Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work 100% on-site in Tallahassee, FL.
  • Ability to pass a Level II background check.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory management.
  • Develop and maintain processes that optimize Microsoft Azure resources.
  • Analyze Azure resource performance, identify contention, and recommend upgrades or changes.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation.
  • Work with data center staff, OIT, and users on resource deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes.
  • Administer and configure Azure and AWS infrastructure security for staff and users.
  • Assist Azure and AWS application owners, administrators, and users with appropriate application access.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows server issues with minimal user impact.
  • Write PowerShell scripts to monitor server properties and perform Active Directory and Azure management.
  • Research and recommend technical solutions to meet functional requirements.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements within the infrastructure team.
  • Complete required Security Awareness Training within 30 days of hire.
