Description We are seeking a talented and experienced Systems Engineer to be responsible for the applications infrastructure across all networks. Technical support to make application security compliant. Responsible for tech precepts implementation and contractually responsible to be part of a 24/7 on call rotation. Design, install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability Implement and maintain robust security measures, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans Develop custom scripts to automate tasks and improve system efficiency Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across hardware, software, and network components Work closely with developers, management, and other departments to understand requirements and deliver solutions Create and maintain detailed documentation for system architecture, procedures, and support Research and assess emerging technologies for potential upgrades or new implementations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
- Two plus (2+) years of experience in system engineering, testing, or DevOps roles
- Proven experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools
- Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix, version control (Git), and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Familiarity with Agile development practices
- A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required
- Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with test frameworks
