The Enterprise Strategic Projects - Project Manager III role is a remote position based in California, requiring extensive knowledge of the EPMO function and department processes. This role partners with the VP of EPMO to develop standards, processes, and tools for effective project scheduling and quality target management. The Project Manager III will establish data collection and reporting processes for key project metrics and will be responsible for reporting on the EPMO project portfolio. This role provides managerial oversight, guidance, and direction for the staff and operations within this functional area. Responsibilities include monitoring project scope, costs, schedules, staffing, communications, external vendors, and contractual deliverables. The Project Manager III will lead high-visibility projects/programs with minimal day-to-day guidance from the VP of EPMO, managing the planning, organizing, and staffing of assigned resources to deliver strategic initiatives and approved projects enterprise-wide, on time and within budget. This role directs assigned teams to fulfill approved organizational strategic projects, utilizing appropriate project delivery methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile) and ensuring adherence. Project deliverables include scope definition, planning, scope management, status reporting, risk/mitigation, and collaboration with leaders and subject matter experts. The Project Manager III is responsible for tight scope management and keeping all stakeholders informed of status, risks, and issues. This role is authorized to take reasonable actions consistent with cost-effective practices and Nuvision Federal Credit Union policies. The Project Manager III is expected to lead project team members, including subject matter experts and other assigned resources, providing guidance, support, and coaching to other Project Managers. The role also involves indirect supervision of external resources such as contract talent, programmers, and consultants.
