  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing complex system and storage issues at the operating-system and protocol levels.
  • Production experience automating infrastructure tasks with Python, Perl, Bash, and Ansible.
  • Working knowledge of NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FCP, and S3 protocols.
  • Experience with public-cloud storage services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and integrating cloud storage into hybrid architectures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple architecture projects and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to engineers and IT leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and tune enterprise SAN and NAS solutions across NetApp, Pure Storage, and EMC/Isilon platforms for global engineering workloads.
  • Build automation for storage provisioning, monitoring, and management using Python, Perl, Bash, and Ansible.
  • Troubleshoot complex storage and Linux system issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and configuration drift across NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FCP, and S3.
  • Design and implement storage solutions in public-cloud environments, integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud-native storage services.
  • Lead storage architecture projects from evaluation through deployment, including capacity planning, vendor selection, and migration execution.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Develop standards and documentation for storage architecture and management.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits.
