About The Position

We are seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect to provide technical leadership for the design, and delivery of secure, scalable, end-to-end technology solutions that support enterprise data platforms, analytics ecosystems, system integrations, and cloud and hybrid modernization initiatives. This role supports the Enterprise Information & Data Integration Program and partners with cross-functional technical and mission teams to deliver secure, reliable, and well-documented outcomes.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • This position is remote, candidate must reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, DC, FL, GA, ID, MD, MS, NJ, NC, OK, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV
  • Occasional travel may be required. Candidates should be able to attend meetings at FAA facilities and other locations throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) as required.
  • Must be available during Eastern Time (ET) business hours to support program needs and FAA coordination.
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, or another IT discipline. Engineering, mathematics, and science degrees are acceptable substitutes.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience must directly reflect work, tasks, and deliverables similar to those supported by this position.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive, confidential, or regulated information and follow applicable federal policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use Government-issued accounts and designated collaboration and task-tracking systems as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting FAA or another federal agency.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise data platforms, cloud modernization, data governance software, AI/ML, BI, and large-scale integration.
  • Experience producing high-quality architecture and design artifacts in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Translate mission and business requirements into solution architectures spanning ingestion, processing, integration, analytics, governance, and access.
  • Define target-state designs and modernization approaches across AWS GovCloud, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Design ETL and streaming patterns, API and microservices architectures, integration workflows, data models, metadata exchanges, security patterns, and platform interfaces.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, interface specifications, data-flow documentation, technical decisions, and solution-design artifacts for technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Lead technical, architecture, verification, validation, and security design reviews and ensure scalability, reliability, supportability, privacy, and compliance are built into solutions.
  • Guide platform onboarding, legacy migration, data integration, governance-tool configuration, AI/ML and BI implementations, and production transition.
  • Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and interoperability issues and coordinate resolution with enterprise and integration architects, platform and data engineers, security teams, and program leadership.
  • Provide implementation guidance through delivery and sustainment while maintaining alignment with enterprise architecture, data strategy, governance, and federal cybersecurity standards.
