About The Position

The Enterprise Solutions Architect - Consultant strategically provides solutions for the design and implementation of in-house information systems, hardware, and networked software architectures that support core organizational functions, and assure their high availability. This position ensures organizational commitment for all systems and software plans, as well as evaluates and selects all technologies required to complete those plans. In addition, the solutions architect provides technical leadership across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level. The consultant is recognized as a technical solutions expert in one or more critical products, programs and/or technologies. This position is responsible for developing and implementing new products and/or approaches in conjunction with implementing new/existing technologies. The enterprise solutions architect typically serves as a technical consultant/specialist both inside Intermountain Healthcare/ Select Health and to outside organizations. Primary assignment involves Intermountain's most complex and critical technical issues. Provides guidance to all members of the team. Enterprise Solutions Architect-Consultant (Salesforce) Candidates who live in, or are willing to relocate to, Utah and are within a reasonable commuting distance to Select Health's offices are preferred. Please note that a video interview through Microsoft Teams will be required as well as potential onsite interviews and meetings. This role will work Monday-Friday during regular business hours.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture, solution design, and implementation.
  • Salesforce Certifications (Preferred)
  • Salesforce Platform Developer 1 or 2
  • Salesforce Administrator
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or Integration Architect
  • Salesforce certifications will be verified.
  • Extensive proficiency in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce CPQ
  • Expertise in Salesforce integration with third-party and internal applications (REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript for Salesforce customizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Flows.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and deployment strategies for Salesforce.
  • Experience handling large data sets and bulk processing within Salesforce.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, governance, and security best practices.
  • Defining scalable technical solution architecture
  • Managing integrations with third-party systems
  • Understanding enterprise applications integration
  • Demonstrating hands-on experience with customization
  • Eight years of enterprise solutions architect experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information management or other technical field. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
  • Experience in developing strategic systems and solutions architecture plans.
  • Experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
  • Experience in systems, hardware, and network design and development.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Leads in the design and implements long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate systems and software.
  • Ensures that proposed and existing system architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provides architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, other Enterprise Solution Architects, and software development teams.
  • Develops, documents, and communicates plans for investing in systems architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
  • Leads in the research of emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts, and recommends technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility.
  • Where applicable, uses expert knowledge to design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
  • Documents the company's existing systems architecture and technology portfolio; makes recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.
  • Reviews new and existing systems design projects and procurement or outsourcing plans for compliance with standards and architectural plans.
  • Confers with end-users, clients, or senior management to define business requirements for complex systems and infrastructure development.
  • Models business and systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.
  • Develops and executes test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance. Reports on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develops and manages a systems/solutions capacity plan.
  • Develops, documents, communicates, and enforces a policy for standardizing systems and software as necessary.
