It partners closely with IT, Cloud Security, Product Security, and business partners to make practical, risk-informed decisions that protect the company while enabling it to move forward.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in security engineering, security architecture, security operations, or closely related technical roles, with deep expertise designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise security controls.
  • Hands-on experience securing the Microsoft 365 and Entra ecosystem, including identity and access controls, tenant security, and incident investigation.
  • Hands-on experience securing AWS and Azure environments.
  • Experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering and operational work across IT and security teams.
  • Strong technical command of identity, endpoint and infrastructure security, detection and response, and vulnerability management, with a record of leading complex investigations and resolving security risks.
  • Experience writing code, working with APIs, and delivering production-ready security tooling or automation, including practical experience integrating AI into engineering or operational workflows.
  • Sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to balance security risk with business commitments, engineering constraints, and the experience of people using company systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • CISSP or CISM certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operate security controls across Microsoft 365 and Entra, endpoints, networks, SaaS, and enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Investigate complex security issues and improve protection of identities, systems, and sensitive information.
  • Improve security coverage across a decentralized global environment, including asset inventory, device security, and monitoring; coordinate with IT and managed security providers to ensure tools are configured, integrated, and effective.
  • Advance detection and incident response by connecting telemetry, improving investigation and response workflows, and establishing escalation, containment, and verified recovery practices.
  • Turn vulnerabilities and assessment findings into prioritized, owned, and validated remediation; work with system owners through verified closure, implement sustainable improvements, and manage practical, time-bounded risk exceptions.
  • Build and deliver security automation, integrations, dashboards, and AI-enabled workflows using code, APIs, and emerging AI capabilities with appropriate safeguards, human oversight, and measurable benefits.
  • Partner with IT, Cloud Security, Product Security, GRC, and Legal to clarify responsibilities, translate business and regulatory needs into practical controls, and deliver changes with testing, documentation, support readiness, and recovery plans.
