About The Position

The City of Springfield is seeking applicants for an Enterprise Resource Supervisor within the Office of Public Utilities, Division of Information Systems. This executive role is based in Springfield, Illinois. The position involves working with Enterprise Systems representatives and technical support services to diagnose, fix, and prevent system issues. The supervisor will lead investigative and technical support for business units, including software vendor support, and will act as a lead team member for system modifications, expansions, new systems, and releases. Responsibilities also include auditing and maintaining security roles and access in compliance with HIPAA, and implementing/supporting tools for system monitoring, alarm response, and tuning. The role requires participation in an on-call rotation outside of normal business hours.

Requirements

  • Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four years of college or five years of hands-on experience in enterprise-level software solutions and report-building/support experience, including user security and job plan operations.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise-level software solutions, including but not limited to CGI Advantage (FIN/HRM/ADM/PB), Maximo, MS SQL Server, City Works, Advance CIS, and Asset Works.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Enterprise Systems’ representatives and other technical support services to help diagnose, fix, and prevent any and all Enterprise System issues.
  • Lead investigative and technical support for business units, including software vendor’s technical support teams when needed.
  • Work as a Lead team member for the implementation of system modifications and expansions, new systems, and releases.
  • Audit and maintain security roles and access to the Enterprise system in compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Implement and support appropriate tools that allow for daily monitoring of systems, timely and appropriate response to alarms, and system tuning.
  • Participate in on-call support rotation outside of normal business hours.
