About The Position

The ERP Data Coordinator ensures enterprise data is accurate, complete, and migration-ready by supporting data preparation, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities for ERP implementation. This role collaborates with business, technical, and implementation partners to uphold data standards, resolve data issues, and support testing, go-live, and post‑implementation stabilization and improvement. Ontario Northland is recruiting five (5) Data Coordinators to support data activities across multiple functional areas. While all positions share core Data Coordinator responsibilities, resources will be assigned based on their experience and strengths across areas such as Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Procurement, CRM, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), IT, and Manufacturing. Assignments may span more than one functional area, reflecting the interconnected nature of data and the expected overlap across business domains.

Requirements

  • College Diploma in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with ERP systems, data administration, or data quality roles, including monitoring data quality, cleansing data, and ensuring data security and integrity.
  • Experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Human Resources / Payroll (employee data, confidentiality, payroll systems), Finance (financial data, reconciliations, reporting), Procurement (vendor data, contracts, purchasing systems), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (customer relationship related data), Enterprise Asset Management / IT systems (e.g., asset data, maintenance systems), Manufacturing (production data, quality, operational reporting).
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
  • Background in data migration, ETL processes, data cleansing, and data transformation.
  • Experience working with large datasets and applying data quality and data governance principles.
  • Strong skills using SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis tools.
  • Experience documenting data structures, data definitions, processes, and data migration or transformation rules.
  • Prior involvement in ERP implementations or major system changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functional and technical teams.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of organizational structure, business processes, and functional requirements.
  • Understanding of project lifecycle management, change management, and PMO standards or methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data investigation and profiling of legacy systems to assess structure, completeness, accuracy, and suitability for ERP migration.
  • Perform data cleansing activities by identifying and correcting duplicates, inconsistencies, missing or outdated records, and non standard data formats.
  • Standardize and prepare master and transactional data in alignment with approved data standards, naming conventions, business rules, hierarchies, and ERP data model requirements.
  • Maintain data cleansing plans, inventories, and issue logs, tracking data ownership, data quality status, remediation actions, dependencies, and progress.
  • Collaborate with functional SMEs and data owners to validate cleansed data, document outcomes, and escalate data risks impacting ERP readiness or timelines.
  • Prepare and transform legacy data into ERP ready formats in accordance with approved data models, business rules, and transformation logic.
  • Support data field mapping between legacy systems and the ERP solution to ensure accurate alignment of source and target data elements.
  • Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities by working with technical teams and implementation partners during migration cycles.
  • Monitor data migration tools, scripts, and processes to track progress, identify issues, and support timely resolution of conversion errors.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation activities before and after data loads to confirm completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity of migrated data.
  • Execute and support validation scripts, queries, and reports to identify conversion errors, gaps, or anomalies during test and mock migration cycles.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to investigate validation and reconciliation issues, support root cause analysis, and confirm corrective actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive data documentation, including data mappings, standards, transformation rules, assumptions, migration logs, validation results, and issue records.
  • Support data governance practices by reinforcing data ownership, stewardship responsibilities, approval authorities, and audit and compliance requirements.
  • Support cutover readiness, post–go live data stabilization, ongoing data monitoring, and continuous improvement, including assisting functional teams with data related inquiries and issues.
