About The Position

The State of Connecticut’s Office of Policy and Management (OPM) is seeking a highly organized and results-oriented Enterprise Project Manager—Special Projects (Executive Assistant 1) to help deliver some of the Administration's most important cross-agency initiatives. Working directly with the Undersecretary—Special Projects, this position will convert policy direction into executable work plans, coordinate teams across agencies, track commitments and risks, prepare executive-level status reports, and help ensure that projects remain aligned with OPM policy goals, budgets, and timelines. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position conveniently located in Hartford, CT, easily accessible to all major highways. At OPM, we report directly to the Governor and provide information and analysis that the Governor uses to formulate public policy for the state. We also assist state agencies and municipalities in implementing the law and public policy on behalf of the people of Connecticut. We prepare the Governor’s budget proposals; implement and monitor the execution of the enacted budget; and oversee the executive branch agencies that report to the Governor. The Enterprise Project Manager will provide the day-to-day management discipline needed to move complex projects forward. The position will not merely schedule meetings: it will structure work, define deliverables, surface decisions, analyze progress, coordinate dependencies, and help project teams solve problems before they become barriers. Initial assignments are expected to support statewide overtime, workers' compensation, and housing initiatives, with additional projects assigned as priorities evolve. This is an unclassified position that serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority.
