Performance Measurement & Business Analysis (PMBA) is responsible for aligning enterprise-wide metrics, analysis, reporting and performance measurement tools to drive AARP's strategic and operating performance. PMBA includes a Business Optimization team that provides consulting and advisory services to projects and initiatives where there is an enterprise-wide impact, unknown root cause and/or complex stakeholder interactions. Are you a detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated student interested in supporting the analysis of strategic plans and enterprise measures? The Enterprise Performance Measurement team is looking for you! Our team focuses on evaluating strategic initiatives across the organization and measuring their impact to drive success. We'll challenge you to dive into data, conduct insightful analysis, and contribute to the development dashboards to tell the story. This paid internship has an anticipated start date of Summer 2026, with the possibility of extending additional semesters.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university as rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or postdoctoral students, and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship
  • Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, or Strategic Management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, anticipate project needs, and discern work priorities
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations, including gender, race, and sexual orientation
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time.
  • Regular and reliable job attendance
  • Exhibit respect and understanding of others to maintain professional relationships
  • In office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise
  • Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track progress against strategic objectives
  • Support automating data source collection to a single source of truth repository
  • Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze data from various sources to inform strategic decision-making
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate analysis findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Participate in meetings and discussions to help deliver presentation-grade dashboards and reports
