GDIT is seeking an Enterprise Monitoring (EM) Engineer to support Government operations in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role is crucial for ensuring real-time visibility into system performance through enterprise monitoring, alerting, data collection, and the implementation of innovative ideas. The position fosters a people-focused and customer-centric environment within Infrastructure Engineering Services, aiming to provide real-time system monitoring, alerting, and data collection for all infrastructure services. The engineer will collaborate with system owners to define monitoring usage, data collection, and alert thresholds, ensuring technical integrity of deliverables. This role also involves guiding design and development for enterprise Infrastructure/Network Monitoring (Linux, Windows), Application, SNMP, and Log Monitoring, potentially taking on project leadership. A key responsibility is ensuring monitoring solutions report required data to the enterprise monitor-of-monitors platform and the systems data analytics platform. The engineer will interact with the government on Systems Engineering technical considerations, problems, issues, or conflicts, and communicate with program personnel and leadership. Participation in the team’s service delivery includes weekly reporting, requirements development, and direct customer collaboration to provide a roadmap for emerging technologies. The role also involves reviewing and analyzing business and system requirements for systems monitoring tool protocols and future tool usage, and assisting with other Enterprise Monitoring efforts across the program and client portfolio.
