About The Position

This is a 100% onsite position in Woodlawn, MD, requiring the developer to be on-site 5 days a week and able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. The role involves developing and maintaining mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, integrating them with legacy backend systems, and ensuring high performance, security, and quality. The developer will be responsible for designing and developing native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI, native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, and cross-platform applications using React Native and Flutter. This includes writing reusable code, collaborating with UI/UX designers, optimizing application performance, implementing testing and quality assurance measures, integrating CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance with security standards and industry regulations.

Requirements

Master's and 10+ years of experience, Bachelor's and 12+ years of experience or 18+ years in lieu of a degree.
Experience with Legacy System Integration and API development.
Experience with the following tools and frameworks: Version Control, Cloud Services, CI/CD and Testing/Debugging.
Experience with Cross-Platform Developer.
Experience with UI/UX Design Integration.
Experience with at least 2 of the following skills: Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native, Vue 3.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Swift/SwiftUI, Xcode, CocoaPods, and iOS frameworks (UIKit, CoreData, etc.).
Experience with App Store deployment and maintaining apps via App Store Connect.
Expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for native Android development.
Experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and Firebase.
Experience in developing cross-platform mobile apps using Flutter and Dart.
Strong knowledge of state management (Provider, Riverpod) in Flutter.
Experience with Redux for state management and React Navigation for navigation within mobile apps.
Familiarity with Vuex for state management and Vue Router for routing.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams (designers, backend developers, etc.).

Responsibilities

Design and develop native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
Develop native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Build cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Flutter.
Integrate mobile apps with existing COBOL-based and Java-based backend systems.
Collaborate with backend teams to build RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints that interact with legacy systems.
Design API gateways to expose COBOL and Java services to modern mobile platforms.
Write reusable, clean, and modular code for React Native and Flutter.
Work with native modules when necessary for integrating mobile-specific features.
Collaborate with UI/UX teams to implement intuitive and responsive designs.
Ensure the UI responsiveness and consistency across both iOS and Android devices.
Use performance profiling tools to identify and fix bottlenecks.
Implement best practices for memory management and app performance optimization.
Develop unit tests and integration tests.
Implement automated testing for mobile applications.
Set up CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployment.
Implement secure communication protocols, authentication, and data encryption.
Ensure mobile apps comply with security standards and insurance industry regulations.
