About The Position

BearCom's Enterprise Travel Service Team deploys skilled installation crews to enterprise customer sites — including multi-story office buildings, data centers, and shipping/production facilities — to install and commission Motorola DMR Critical Communication systems and Public Safety DAS/BDA ERCES systems. As an Installation Technician, you are an essential part of a collaborative field crew that takes pride in doing the job right. You'll work alongside experienced team members and field management who are invested in your success and growth. This is a travel-intensive hourly role requiring 80% regional travel with occasional national deployment.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of low-voltage installation experience in commercial or enterprise environments.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Valid driver's license with clean MVR; must pass background check and drug screening.
  • A team-first attitude — willingness to learn, take direction, and support the crew around you

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DAS, BDA, or structured cabling systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Motorola DMR or LMR systems is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred (BearCom will sponsor if not held).
  • Low-voltage installation license or certification preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Install, route, and terminate coax, fiber, CAT5/6, and low-voltage cables through walls, floors, conduit, and ductwork in enterprise building.
  • Support installation of Motorola DMR infrastructure components including antenna systems, cable plants, and equipment racks.
  • Assist with DAS/BDA ERCES system installations including head-end equipment, remote units, and antenna distribution networks.
  • Build out equipment closets with racks, ladder trays, J-hooks, and proper cable management.
  • Participate actively in system testing and commissioning, contributing as a reliable member of the field crew.
  • Attend and engage in on-site kickoff meetings and daily team briefings — your input matters.
  • Read and follow installation drawings, schematics, blueprints, and project plans accurately.
  • Communicate clearly with teammates and field management — proactively flag issues and share progress.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance at all project sites.
  • Adhere to OSHA standards, site-specific safety requirements, and PPE protocols at all times.
  • Assist with receiving, inventorying, and staging materials and equipment at job sites
