About The Position

This will be a 3-month contract working at the Clemson University Information Technology Center with the possibility of extension. This position will work a maximum of 10 hours per week. The role involves architecting, developing, and implementing architecture for multi-site, multi-cloud systems, applications, security, and other highly specialized IT architecture. The individual will serve as an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect Manager for ERP and mission-critical systems.

Requirements

  • Strong grasp of web development concepts including HTTP, TLS/SSL, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Apache, React, and Node.js
  • Strong Linux command line and operating system skills
  • Experience developing infrastructure in AWS
  • Experience with LDAP-style databases
  • Understanding of basic networking principals (CIDRs, gateways, routers, firewalls, DNS, NAT)
  • Knowledge of DevOps principals
  • Strong knowledge of identity management processes (AuthN, AuthZ, password management, MFA and provisioning)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 – 6 Years Networking & Directories
  • 4 – 6 Years Operating Systems/APIs Linux
  • 4 – 6 Years Protocols DNS
  • 4 – 6 Years Protocols Firewall
  • 4 – 6 Years Specialties Router

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with server virtualization
  • Experience with Salt or other infrastructure-as-code platforms
  • Experience with containers
  • Experience with load balancers
  • Experience with Java, Go, Python
  • Experience with web accessibility standards and implementation
  • Experience writing and using RESTful APIs
