About The Position

The Enterprise Digital Workplace Architect is a senior-level role responsible for the overall architecture, design, and governance of the organization's collaborative and productivity platforms, primarily focusing on Microsoft 365 (M365) and its coexistence, integration, and interoperability with Google Workspace. This role drives the strategic development and implementation of complex enterprise solutions that enhance digital transformation, elevate the employee experience, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards. As a Systems Architect you will act as a Subject Matter Expert, builds technology roadmaps, and translates business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years supporting Microsoft 365 or related Microsoft technologies in a large-scale (e.g., 5,000+ users) enterprise environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 solution architecture, implementation, and administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field of study is required.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in mid-large enterprise deployments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Solution Design: Oversee the design, configuration, implementation, administration, and integration of Microsoft O365, Google Workspace, and related Exchange Online platforms. Develop and maintain technical architecture, blueprints, and best practice frameworks.
  • Cross-Platform Integration: Design and implement solutions for seamless integration and interoperability between Microsoft O365 and Google Workspace, including messaging functionalities and identity management. Manage environments with multiple namespaces and perform cloud-to-cloud/on-premises-to-cloud migrations.
  • Security, Compliance & Governance: Implement and uphold a Zero Trust security model through all activities. Partner with Security Engineers to apply and maintain security configurations, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access policies, and Microsoft Defender. Establish and enforce governance policies to ensure compliance (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA, global compliance, and retention).
  • Automation & Workflow Optimization: Lead the development of digital forms, task automation, and notifications. Build and deploy custom apps and automation using the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Power BI) and leverage scripting (PowerShell, Google GAM) for monitoring and management.
